I qualified as a Financial Adviser in 2000, previously working at the Financial Conduct Authority, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and employed as an Independent Financial Adviser. I joined SJP in 2010. I love learning and was awarded Chartered Financial Adviser status in 2017, I became a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society in 2019 and completed a research-based MSc in Finance specialising on the complexities associated with Later Life. I have specialist qualifications for Retirement Planning, Long Term Care, and Inheritance Tax planning.
I believe that the choices and habits we adopt over our lives have long lasting consequences, I work with clients, to help them identify their own unique habits, goals and ambitions, whilst also understanding the risks they face to implement a clear and robust plan. I provide long term, trusted advice, working with a variety of people, with a particular enjoyment working with business owners planning to retire. I believe I am kind, a good listener and compassionate which is an important factor in the Practice. The clients I work with tend to have more complex requirements.
I enjoy academic research and am looking to continue the research at PhD. Outside of work I enjoy travelling. I walked the Camino in April 2024 and plan to hike in the Himalayas in October. I play badminton competitively, run and love weightlifting. I also enjoy learning and read widely. I am a member of Mensa.
